Philosophy
New Grad Physical Therapy (NGPT) is built upon the foundation of interesting people doing great work. New graduates and young professionals are the future, and we must cultivate the growth of our generation. Helping each other means improving the care that we provide our patients.
We understand that a career in healthcare is a sacrifice and the people who sacrifice deserve a community of peers who care. We believe that coming together as a community to make each other better is paramounts to both growth as a profession, and as individuals.
History
NGPT joins the team of new grad publications founded by Dr. Matthew Geller OD. Dr. Geller founded optometrystudents.com, followed by newgradoptometry.com. The community loved it! Dr. Meredith Victor Castin, DPT and Dr. Brett Kestenbaum, DPT saw that physical therapists had the same need. The challenges of transitioning from a full-time grad student to an independent professional forging a career path can be overwhelming.
The new grad resource was built out of a need that shows itself every day. We thank all of those who share their experience and their work, whether they do so on blogs, social media, video, or anywhere else. Sharing as a community will only help us grow together, and together we can achieve great things for our patients and ourselves.
